Jiaotu is the ninth child of the Dragon. The mascot has a lazy temperament, self-contained, reclusive, carrying a shell or a snail shell, often curled up in it to sleep, not like strangers invading his territory.
It is usually engraved on the door, right in the position of the handle when opened, implying to deter strangers from entering to protect the safety of the homeowner.
Its mother is Tibetan Mastiff Spirit, the head is depicted like a Lion, in fact Tibetan Mastiff is the king of the Dog.
